“Proto-retro excellence! A paradoxical gem!” 5/5 - Evil Reverb

“Iconoclastic shredding. Transcendental blasturbation.” ★★★★☆ - Kvlt Chronicles

“'Serpents on the Acid Throne', the recently unearthed full-length from Electric Lizard, opens sounding like a Minnesota-flavored Syd Barrett on hydrochloroquinone, drawing influences from YOB and Karlheinz Stockhausen, with a knowing nod to The Fugs. It is unmistakably the progressive retrogaze outfit's finest attempt at tectonic, eldritch proto-rock.

'Conjuring Goats from Fields of Doom' echoes strains of an Erickson-esque psych pastiche, with a penchant for starkly beautiful guitar passages and vertiginous vocal scenery, while the more uptempo "Immigrant Bong" takes it to another level, reminiscent of Fister on methylprednisolone. The Lizard continue to blur layered vocals and acoustic bass into a gorgeous watercolor-hangover haze on "Igniting the Bud Monolith". The result? precious, pivotal, unsettling sludge-funk. Perfect for a road trip down a dead-end street with a large bag of rotten carrots in the trunk.” 8/10 - Sick Sense

“I had no involvement in this.” - Mike.
